Emperor is designed to capitalise on the growing Champagne category in Australia and throughout Asia, as well as cornering the global growth of the luxury goods category. Emperor also takes a slice of the booming ‘experience economy’ through our luxury events and club membership.
Stocking the largest range of Champagnes in Asia Pacific, Emperor satisfies consumers desire for a more diverse and interesting range of Champagnes in addition to selling the popular grand marques.
In a survey of 1,000 people, 96% said they were limited by Champagne1.
With a multi-faceted business model and many revenue streams, Emperor is well positioned to claim a sizeable portion of the Asian and Australian Champagne market in the coming years.
“Champagne sales in Australia continue to grow rapidly and we are starting to dominate that space but really the golden goose for us is the launch of the Emperor Champagne Club across Asia Pacific. The market potential is enormous.”
-Kyla Kirkpatrick, CEO Emperor.
The first revenue stream comes from Emperor being the only subscription Champagne business in the Southern Hemisphere deploying the lucrative annuity billing model which has seen success in businesses such as the Dollar Shave Club. The club will launch in Singapore in August 2019 and quickly expand to other Asian markets .
Another revenue stream comes from online sales. Emperor expertly curates their collection, 90% of which will be exclusive imports and grower Champagnes providing the largest margins.
Future revenue streams include a Champagne Truck which will provide an additional touch point and a wholesale team selling exclusive imports into restaurants, bottle shops and hotels.
Emperor also has the fierce backing of its Champagne partners in France as there is finally a route to market that sells Champagne the way the Champagne house wants their products to be sold - with a focus on value, heritage and respect.
“We were looking for several months for an Australian provider of quality Champagne with flutes in boxes. We then came across Emperor, who not only had a great product but also had great customer service. We have had nothing but glowing feedback from our clients and partners; so thank you!”
-Adrian, Director Red Wealth.
